Endowed with an exceptional voice, the American singer, researcher of the folk music of Southern Appalchia and New England, multi-instrumentalist, promoter of the Sacred Harp tradition of polyphonic singing of Protestant hymns. Eriksen’s interpretation of old ballads, love and religious songs as well as dance tunes has changed the perception of traditional Anglo-American music. His original archaic singing is accompanied by the banjo, guitar, violin and bajo sexto – a twelve string Mexican acoustic bass.
