One of the first recording songs of samba (1929). The song is written by Almirante. As much as I know , "Na Pavuna" means "not bad not good", please correct me if I am wrong. The band included Almirante (tambourine and vocal) , Braguinha (guitar and vocal) , Henrique Brito (guitar), Noel Rosa (guitar) and Alvinho (guitar and vocal). The name of the band was inspired by the legend birds, which always sing and dance in a group of five, four and forming a wheel, and one in the center, jumping, singing and dancing happily --- Samba is a music/dance style which like many things in Brazilan culture has African root.
