In the north of Togo, in the prefecture of Binah, there was Yasse le Griot de Pagouda. During his lifetime he was the benchmark in traditional Kabye culture. Using a single-string instrument (called TCHIMOU) as a guitar, it produces all possible sounds agreeable to the ear. The young musicians harnessing to the traditional music known as tchimou and kamou inspires much of its sense of creativity.
