Na Pavuna by Bando de Tangarás is part of folk music tradition in/by Brazil. Folk Music of Brazil is traditionally brother to some other region(s) in the world. From the top menu, first choose the desired region and then find the link from the map or country list.

One of the first recording songs of samba (1929). The song is written by Almirante. As much as I know , "Na Pavuna" means "not bad not good", please correct me if I am wrong. The band included Almirante (tambourine and vocal) , Braguinha (guitar and vocal) , Henrique Brito (guitar), Noel Rosa (guitar) and Alvinho (guitar and vocal). The name of the band was inspired by the legend birds, which always sing and dance in a group of five, four and forming a wheel, and one in the center, jumping, singing and dancing happily --- Samba is a music/dance style which like many things in Brazilan culture has African root.
