Nesimi Çimen (1931-1993 ) was a Turkish lyricist and folk musician from Adana. On July 2, 1993 he died in what is known as The Sivas massacre at the Madimak Hotel which resulted in the killing of 37 people, mostly Alevi intellectuals and musicians.
