This song originally comes from a tribe named "َThe Ainue" ( pronounced: I-new ). The Ainue are the aboriginal inhabitants in Japan which mostly disappeared today. Oki Kano plays tankuri, a Japanese instrument with five string and made from wood. Its an instrument from Ainue. Of course the song is updated to ears of modern listeners.
