The fujara (Slovak pronunciation: originated in central Slovakia as a large sophisticated folk shepherd's overtone fipple flute of unique design. It is technically a contrabass in the tabor pipe class. Fujara is over five and half feet (1.7m) long flageolet style fipple flute, hand made from wood of upland deciduous trees.
