he well-known singer and ‘ūd player Mahmoud El-Kouéti (also spelled Mahmoud Al Kuwaiti) lived from the early 20th century to 1982 in Kuwait. These early shellac productions issued on the German Odeon label are regarded as very important audio documents for the early period of the sawt genre. The recording is done in 1928 and 1929 in Baghdad.
