Vasija de Barro is a musical composition in danzante rythm, known as "the unofficial anthem of Ecuador." The lyrics refer to the ancestral rituals of the country as a symbol of the desire to return to Mother Earth and was written in 1950 by the poets Jorge Carrera Andrade, Jorge Enrique Adoum, Hugo Alemán and the painter Jaime Valencia.
