Guillermo Ayoví Erazo which is known as Papá Roncón is an Afro-Ecuadorian musician, singer, and marimba player. He borned in Borbon a small village which is located near the Santiago River, all the population there is afro. He lerned the marimba art from the indigenous Kayapos o Chachis and he can speak their language too.

The afroecuadorian marimba is very interesting, the people call it [piano of forest[, it is fabricated from natural chonta (type of wood from the Ecuador jungles), and caña guadua (it;s plant like bamboo and people take suger from it), all the material comes from the tropical forest. The afroecuadorian marimba has a diferent rythms, all of them described events for the community, for example: "agua larga" talk about the migration or "arrullo" is a beatuful rythem speaks about children or "caderona" is the most popular song in Ecuador, sepaks about the woman and their role in the community.
